So, while nerding a bit around on Youtube today, I suddenly realised that, they show adds next to the videos. And guess what? Well ... have a look at this:
It's a danish add for some resorts called Dayz. You know what instantly came to my mind? If the resort is anything, like what instantly came to my mind, I'm just gonna say good luck to whoever goes there.

Realism
Ok. I get a bit wierded out every
time I hear people say stuff like: ”Ehm… the graphics in the game are bad. They
are way to blurry. Kind of removes the feeling, you know. Just makes it feel a
bit unrealistic.”
Really? It’s a game. Come on. There are
so much unrealistic stuff in games, and people complain about the graphics? Here
are some examples of unrealistic stuff that happens in many games:
-
Main
character survives hundreds of bullets. Gets killed by falling into water.
-
Touches
water. Dies.
-
Inventory
can hold 10 heavy shotguns. Or 10 snack bars.
-
You
leave the barber with twice as much hair than you came with (it can’t take that
much time to go to the barber, can it?).
-
You
are shot. Eat an apple and heal instantly (an apple a day keeps the doctor
away, they say).
And still people complain about how
the graphics removes the feeling. Great.
But honestly, all those things just
makes us love the games even more. Don’t they?

Sorry
Hi everyone
^^
I’m terribly
sorry about the lack of content on this blog lately, and I’m also so sorry about
the lack of videos on the Youtube channel. I’ve been terribly busy lately, so I
haven’t got that much time to upload or write anything. I’ll try to get more
time to do those things, but please bear with me, when I don’t upload in time.
Thanks for your patience with me (:

Dubloon
I'm starting a new youtube series called Indie Sunday. Every Sunday I upload a youtube video of a indiegame : D
Today, for the very first episode of Indie Sunday, I'll play this game called Dubloon! So set your sails and scrub your deck, 'cause we are ready to go!
Btw, I kinda like this game, so maybe it'll be turned into a series as well :)

Where did it go?
Today after coming home from a nice vacation with my
family, I was browsing around the net, and I ended up reading some old stuff
about Diablo 3. Then i couldn't help but to wonder: what happened to it?
I mean, a few months ago, when the game was released,
Diablo 3 was like the only thing people talked about when they talked gaming.
So, why does i seem like everyone has just simply
forgotten about it? Did people get distracted by it 'cause of other big games
coming out? Or did it just not live up to everyone's expectations? Was it
missing anything, or was it just simply too unoriginal?
Is Guild Wars II going to be forgotten like that as well
in a few weeks? Or will it be remembered? I guess we’ll see.

Oh, btw I
just realize I've been humming the intro song from Deponia the last three days.
Gotta love that song. And the game as well!
I'm SO sorry about this ...
Sorry, but I haven’t really got time to record/edit anything decent for today. Instead the
only thing I've got for you is this … uhm … not so decent video, which I never really planned to upload.
I promise this
is going to be the last Gravity Bone/Thirty Flights of Love video I make. At
least for a while. Maybe one day when you least expect it another Gravity Bone
or Tfol video will magically appear on my YouTube page. Who knows?

Thirty Flights of Loving
An amazing game like gravity Bone just needs to have a sequel. And it has! It was released 21-08-2012. Five days ago.
In today's video, my friends, we shall drink, party and in the end we even get a bit educational. Enjoy : D
Better late than never
So instead of playing Guild Wars II today, i've been spending my time messing around with Thirty Flights of Loving (video on that will be uploaded later), and I started playing Dungeons and Dragons online. Notice the fact that I wrote 'started'. I've never actually played that before.
Apparently thats just the kind of gamer I am. One of those who first starts playing a game years after it has been released. So in 2015, you may see a video called 'Wiksil plays Guild Wars II - first look'. By that time Guild Wars IV is probably released, so you are all gonna be like: "wait ... does the video say 'Guild Wars II'? WTF?". And i'm just gonna act as if that is completly normal.

That one game ...
This post is probably gonna be a bit wierd, but never mind that.
I guess most of us have this one game, which just means really much to us. It might not be the first game we think about, when we think of good games, and it might not be the best game ever made (or anything near that) but still we just simply love that game.
I still remember spending countless of hours in the living room with my sister playing Spyro the Dragon and Spyro 2 on our old playstation. I'm actually pretty sure it's still lying around somewhere in my room, even though I haven't played it for years. I don't think I could ever make myself throw it out.
I think i was like five years old when I first played it, I didn't have a clue about what was going on, and I died constantly. Still I really enjoyed playing it, though I don't even remember half of it.
You also have a game like that? Wanna tell about it? Go on, drop a comment : D

Alan Wake
So the action game Alan Wake was released some time ago, and to be honest, when I first heard about the game, my thoughts on it were “Okay … a game about some middle-aged author running around in the woods with an old flashlight? Good luck with that”. But I learnt not to judge the game, on the first impression.
Now after playing the game and watching some commentated let’s play with it, I must say this: I’m impressed. Who would have thought that that middle-aged ordinary-looking author would lead you right into a psychotic thriller world of darkness and light, loose, fear, love and hope? Really, who thought that? I didn’t. Mind the didn't.
Some of the great features in the game are:
A very original, unique storyline.
Characters full of personalities that you will grow to love.
Moments that’ll make you jump of your chair and fell like a scared cat.
Music from my favorite band Poets of the Fall.
Epicness.
If you like thrilling games, I strongly recommend you to try Alan Wake. I dare you. : P

The minus side:
Dungeons of dèjá vu

That awkward first message
So ... Hi my name is Maria, but please call me Wiksil.
I'm just a random danish gamer, trying to get through life, with the help of my magically slow computer. And an old dusty Ps1.
There aren't really much to say about me, but i've still got a lot to say. In the future you will be able to find game related stuff on this blog, and you will probably also find videos with gameplay recorded and commentated by me.
I hope you'll enjoy your stay here on this blog : D
